In 2018 the company celebrates the 125th anniversary of an activity that began back in 1893 thanks to Luigi Cecchi Today it is Andrea and Cesare Cecchi, the fourth generation of the company, who lead the company with the same enthusiasm and entrepreneurial skills that characterized their predecessors. Keeping the precious experience they have inherited, the two brothers have focused their attention on sustainable production and on the ability of wines made to express the territory of origin, guaranteeing stimulating prospects and always new markets. The headquarters in Castellina in Chianti and the vineyards located in the main areas of Tuscany favour the production of the region's iconic wines such as Chianti Classico DOCG, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Morellino di Scansano DOCG. Cecchi is also present in Umbria with the production of the sumptuous Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG. The aim is to interpret the various terroirs through the adoption of production styles, breeding systems and massal selections that skip the peculiarities of each denomination. Sangiovese is certainly the most important grape variety within the 370 hectares of vineyards, where international varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are also grown. The company also produces a red wine with the Toscana IGT denomination, the "Coevo", which can to all intents and purposes be counted among the great Supertuscans. The name Cecchi is today more than ever synonymous with great Tuscan reds, a company where experience and passion for the territory are expressed through a perfect combination of innovation and tradition.
