Claudio Conterno and Guido Fantino have always been aware that traditions, agronomic knowledge, oenological knowledge and terroir excellence lead to the production of superior quality wines. It is on the basis of these beliefs that the "Conterno Fantino" winery was founded back in 1982. Today, in Monforte d'Alba, it has just under thirty hectares of vineyards, both owned and rented. Recently renovated in the wine-making and ageing premises, the company rigorously maintains its historical expressive approach, so that the whole range of "Conterno Fantino" labels is always characterized by a complex, rich and intact stamp on the fruit. By leading the rows of vines in an organic regime, straightforward and fine grapes give life to wines that are just as excellent: bunches of Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Chardonnay are traditionally processed, preferring, obviously especially for the reds, long periods of maturation in wood and equally long periods of aging in glass. Here come to life bottles that are the result of an unconditional love for one's own land, i.e. wines, such as those of the "Conterno Fantino" winery, which can be considered as a direct consequence of the respect of ancient production methods, thanks to which expressive and vigorous oenological results are achieved, but at the same time also elegant, refined and precious.
