The magic of the landscapes that make up the Piedmontese Langhe is contained in the Pio Cesare products. A historical production reality of these territories, able as never before to enhance the different cru, blending together the main characteristics of the individual vineyards in labels with a wide perspective. Just as it happens with this Barbaresco DOCG, where a classic and traditional style dominates both the sense of smell and the drink, giving us a bottle that can always agree with the palates of all connoisseurs and enthusiasts.

This Barbaresco is made by the Pio Cesare winery from Nebbiolo grapes that are grown and cultivated in the most suitable vineyards around the area of Treiso and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio. The bunches, carefully selected during the harvest, ferment in steel containers, macerating on the skins for about 25-30 days. After vinification the wine is aged for 30 months, mostly in large oak casks; a small part of the total mass of the wine matures in fact also in barriques.

The Barbaresco Pio Cesare presents itself to the visual examination with a tonality that recalls the ruby red, inside of which some garnet reflections are highlighted. The olfactory spectrum is complex and stratified, with notes that turn from berries towards nuances of sweet spices. On the palate it has a rich, round body, with an energetic structure and a sip with a remarkable tannic grip; it ends with a persistent finish, characterised by a balsamic aftertaste. An important red wine, which therefore needs the right combination in the kitchen to enhance its characteristics: try it with game recipes or with a grilled red meat, it will not disappoint you!
