Nebbiolo is a Piedmontese red berry grape variety that is difficult to cultivate and which, during its development, requires special care and attention in order to be able to express its full potential. The Pio Cesare winery, from the top of its experience that sees it as the absolute protagonist in the Langhe territory since the end of the nineteenth century, processes this grape in an impeccable way, always giving life to products of excellent quality. This Nebbiolo confirms the rule, showing itself with a balanced and harmonious profile, in which the experience of drinking gives a smooth and characterful wine.

The Pio Cesare winery produces this Nebbiolo Langhe DOC from the grapes of the same name located in the various vineyards of the same name in the areas of Diano d'Alba, La Morra, Collaretto, Serralunga d'Alba and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio. Only the best bunches are selected during manual harvesting, and once in the cellar, the grapes ferment in steel tanks at controlled temperature, macerating slowly for about twenty days. Then follows the ageing phase, which lasts two years and is carried out both in oak barrels and in barriques.

The Nebbiolo of the Pio Cesare winery presents itself to the eye with a light and soft ruby red, characterized by slight garnet reflections in the nail. Thin and elegant is the set of scents that alternate with the nose, where notes of berries are linked to more spicy aromas. On the palate it is full-bodied, with a structure that leverages on a fresh sip in which the tannic component is finely integrated. A label that interprets in a traditional and classic way the red berry grape variety par excellence of the Langhe, and that is recommended for all those who want to start approaching the great Piedmontese reds.
