Jean Mandois was born in Epernay in 1760 and is the first winemaker of the family: in 1905 Auguste Mandois moved to Pierry, a village classified 1er Cru, where he began to produce his own champagne. The Maison is now entrusted to Claude Mandois who manages the 40 hectares of the property of which 13 classified as Premier Cru and mostly vines with Chardonnay. The maison produces about 500,000 bottles and in recent years, at the urging of its owner, it has been pursuing the goal of quality, both through a selection of the grapes, but above all by staying on the lees for at least 30 months for the brut sans-année. Each cuvée, elaborated according to the "champenoise" tradition, reflects its own style that is well suited to "da garde" champagnes.
