Pioneer of the marketing of the eponymous brand, Paul Bara, father of Chantale, was the first of the dynasty to sell Champagne under his name in the 1950s. A man of character and deep convictions, he used to repeat, Chantale recalls: "you have to keep the fields in order to eat".
He has also written a very interesting book that traces the life of Bouzy, his "beloved" village, his men, their wines and their cultures. In 1975 the Maison Bara was one of the first to cross the Atlantic to export its wines to the United States. Even today the Maison exports to the United States and always with the same importer. Paul Bara Champagne cuvées are also present on five continents. In 1980 Chantale joined her father to assist him and immediately became her partner in 1986. Sixth generation of winemakers, Chantale is committed to passing on the traditional and artisanal values ​​that have been passed on to her by past generations.
