In 1855, Leonia - great-great-grandmother of Lamberto Frescobaldi - returning from a long journey around French Champagne, chose to plant the first pinot noir vines on the Pomino estate. After more than a century, Lamberto resumed the work begun by his great-great-great-grandfather Leonia, which today translates into this Metodo Classico Brut Rosé Spumante, labelled "Marchesi Frescobaldi". It is a Brut Rosé, son of continuous and constant experimentation carried out over the decades, thanks to which we can now enjoy a wine with a fruity and fragrant, harmonious, refined and balanced personality. Extraordinary to accompany delicate hors d'oeuvres, raw fish, sushi, shellfish and fried seafood, it is a Rosé with an elegant, fine and feminine soul, so ideal to choose, if you want, for the most romantic and sentimental occasions.
The colour is reminiscent of onion peel, and the glass is embellished with a very fine and lively perlage. Fruity hints of wild strawberries and apricots open the nose, which then develops on notes of yeast and brioche, and toasted hints. The sip is fresh and persistent, fragrant, well-balanced and soft, with excellent overall harmony.
