Tenuta di Vaira is a small family-run company located in the magical land of Bolgheri. Their Bolgheri Rosso, Caccia al Palazzo, is represented by its label: a butterfly, a symbol of gracefulness, freshness and elegance.
It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, harvested and selected exclusively by hand. Fermentation takes place in steel vats at controlled temperatures, with prolonged maceration in contact with the skins. Subsequently the wine ages for 10 months in French oak barrels before being bottled.
It has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with a complex bouquet, with hints of cherry in the foreground, followed by deep mineral notes in the background. On the palate it is fresh and balanced, pleasantly savory, with well integrated tannins that accompany towards a persistent finish in which the fruity notes return.
Perfect to accompany noble poultry and roasted meats, it is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
