Cont'Ugo

The Bolgheri Rosso "Cont'Ugo" of Guado al Tasso-Antinori is one of those great red wines that have helped to elevate, spread and enhance the splendid territory of Bolgheri. We are right in the center of the so-called "Bolgheri amphitheater", on soft hills that surround a plain that stretches out to the sea, in a unique terroir that sees the presence of an absolutely favorable and characteristic climate: mild winters and hot and dry summers, in part mitigated by the influence of the sea.

The Bolgheri Rosso "Cont'Ugo" comes from a careful selection of the grapes during the harvest, which are then transferred to stainless steel where they ferment and macerate for about 25 days. This pure Merlot ages for 8 months in French oak barrels and for another 4 in barrique.

Ruby red, intense notes of plum, cherry and raspberry are perceived on the nose, combined with notes of undergrowth and spices. Its roundness and thickness stand out on the palate. A wine of great pleasure and depth, characterized by an exuberant fruit aftertaste.
