He is a gentle giant, supported by the strong muscles typical of the Chinese lands and made precious and graceful by the savoir-faire and kind ways of the French.
Brunello di Montalcino di Cupano is a red that the other producers of the appellation look at wrongly and sometimes with envy, because by breaking away from more traditional schemes, it has managed to achieve simply extraordinary levels of quality.
Produced exclusively with Sangiovese grosso grapes, depending on the vintage it can rest for over four years in oak barrels, and then completed with a further period of aging in the bottle.
The result is a wine with a formidable balance, with a guaranteed longevity potential. It is a Brunello in which the names of Henri Jayer, Carlo Ferrini, François Bouchet and Giulio Gambelli speak, with Lionel Cousin and his wife Ornella taking the place of the birth parents.
It is a Brunello of excellence.

Intense and vivid ruby color in the glass. The nose is rich and deep, extremely clean and open with notes of plum, ripe sour cherries and black cherries, then complemented by elegant tertiaries of sweet spices, glaze, medicinal herbs and tobacco. The taste is energetic but perfectly integrated into the tannic texture, fresh and mineral, of excellent length.
