Brunello is the prince of Montalcino wines. It is produced exclusively with hand-picked Sangiovese grapes from the company's oldest vineyards. After careful fermentation at a controlled temperature, Tenuta Il Poggione's Brunello di Montalcino ages in French oak barrels. Subsequently, the wine spends a period of refinement in the bottle, which is essential to guarantee the pleasantness and complexity that have made Brunello di Montalcino famous all over the world.

Il Poggione's Brunello di Montalcino wine is a wine of particular value, which is produced with the best grapes of the estate, from vineyards that are over 20 years old. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks with submerged cap maceration on the skins, for a duration of a couple of weeks. The wine ages for 36 months in French oak barrels with a capacity of 30 and 50 hectoliters and ends the refinement in the bottle. In the glass it has an intense ruby ​​red color with light garnet reflections. The bouquet offers delicate aromas of violet, aromas of small red berries and ripe cherries, notes of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub, balsamic hints, hints of graphite and leather. On the palate it has an elegant sip, with fine tannins and a deep, complex gustatory development, which accompanies towards a persistent and fresh finish.
