Brunello di Montalcino Pertimali Sassetti is a classic label, which has contributed to making the history of this important Tuscan appellation. The winery was, in fact, one of the founders of the Consortium and has been cultivating vineyards on the Montalcino hill for a long time. The knowledge of the territory and the Sangiovese grape are the basis of traditional and elegant wines, which represent the continuity of a production that is always of a high quality level. Over the generations, the most ancient customs have been handed down to the present day, making it possible to create a Brunello with a typically territorial profile, capable of interpreting the characteristics of Sangiovese grosso in the name of finesse.

Brunello di Montalcino is born in a historic estate. Pertimali Sassetti cultivates vineyards to the north-east of the Montalcino hill, in an area that has always been one of the most suitable. The farm extends over 16 hectares, with a south-east exposure, characterized by a cool climate and good temperature ranges. The Sangiovese grosso grapes come from a selection of various vineyards on the estate, grown in the Montosoli area on calcareous-clayey soils. The harvest takes place manually, usually towards the end of September. The best bunches are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-29 ° C, with a maceration period on the skins of a couple of weeks. The wine ages for at least 36 months in 33-hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels and completes the refinement with 6 months in the bottle.

Brunello di Montalcino Pertimali Sassetti wine is the symbolic label of the territory, the maximum expression of Sangiovese grosso. It is a red that combines finesse and power, destined to reach full expressive maturity after a few years of aging in the cellar. In the glass it has a ruby red color with light garnet reflections. Elegant and refined, it expresses delicate aromas of ripe cherry, morello cherry, small dark berry fruits, floral nuances of violet, hints of undergrowth, spicy sensations and light memories of noble woods. On the palate it denotes a good structure, with a rich and fine tannic texture, complex and persistent aromas, which lead to a long finish, characterized by a pleasant savory vein and a lively gustatory freshness. It is the ideal bottle to get to know the classic and traditional face of Brunello di Montalcino.
