The "Poggio all'Oro" is the real flagship of the entire range made by Banfi. It is a Brunello di Montalcino Riserva produced only in great vintages, starting from a very careful selection of Sangiovese grapes, grown within a single parcel. A real cru therefore, which gives life to a red with an energetic structure, with concentrated aromas and an incredibly long sip. A label to be reserved for the most important occasions, in which wine is the center of attention.

Banfi makes this Brunello di Montalcino Riserva "Poggio all'Oro" starting from Sangiovese grapes grown in the vineyard of the same name, located on the southern side of Montalcino, about 220 meters above sea level. Once in the rooms used for winemaking, the grapes ferment and macerate for about 12-14 days, in special wooden and steel vats, the “Horizon”, designed by the winery team. Then follows the refinement phase, carried out first for 30 months in small French oak barrels, and then, after bottling, for a further 12-18 months directly in glass.

This Brunello di Montalcino Riserva "Poggio all'Oro" is presented in the glass with a very bright ruby red color, crossed by garnet reflections that reveal themselves in the nail. The nose is deep, which on the olfactory examination highlights complex floral and fruity notes, enriched with balsamic and spicy touches. On the palate it is vigorous, muscular, with an austere structure, enveloping on the palate thanks to a pleasantly fresh and savory sip; it closes with a very persistent finish. A label with which the qualitative heights of the entire production made every year by Banfi are reached, capable of giving emotions to the table for the next decades.
