The Chianti Classico Riserva “Novecento” is a red wine to which the Dievole winery is particularly fond. It is in fact a special bottle, created in 1990 to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the foundation of the winery and which today is confirmed as one of the most interesting labels in the range made in Castelnuovo Berardenga. Quality abounds both in the aromas and in the tasting, outlining a profile in which elegance and structure come together in an impeccable way, giving a sublime tasting experience. The "Novecento", as well as to drink, is also excellent as a gift for friends who have a weakness for Tuscan reds.

This Chianti Classico Riserva "Novecento" is made from a blend where, alongside the grape symbol of the denomination, Sangiovese, we also find a 5% split between two other red grape varieties allowed by the specification, Colorino and Canaiolo. The vines of these varieties are about 15 years old and are raised by Dievole in plots facing south and south-west, located at a height between 300 and 420 meters above sea level. The terroir is characterized by the presence of silt and clay. The must obtained from pressing the grapes ferments in concrete vats, macerating for at least 15 days. The subsequent refinement lasts 17 months and is carried out in barrels with a capacity of 42 hectoliters; after bottling, the wine remains to mature in glass, before being put on the market, for another 6 months.

The "twentieth century" presents a ruby color to the eye, crossed by light reflections that tend to garnet, visible in the nail. The small berries are announced on the nose in the form of compote, then enriched by earthy and spicy nuances and a slight reference to leather and skin. In the mouth it is full-bodied, refined and persuasive thanks to a friendly sip, which has a pleasant mineral taste on the finish. A Tuscan red with which Dievole celebrates its 900 years of history, winning the more than positive opinion of the main national and foreign sector critics.
