Sangiovese 100%

The Chianti Classico Riserva describes the great potential of Sangiovese grapes in one of the terroirs among the best suited to its cultivation in all of Tuscany. The smell is wrapped in the typical fruity varietal notes, while a concentrated sip is released in the mouth, with a great completeness of taste. A label with which the Vallepicciola winery is confirmed as one of the most interesting in the area, thanks also to the support of professionals of the caliber of Riccardo Cottarella, oenologist of proven international renown who supervises the production now from several harvests.

This Chianti Classico Reserve comes from pure Sangiovese grapes, grown by the Vallepicciola winery near the town of Castelnuovo Berardenga at a height of about 440 meters above sea level. We are located within a purely calcareous and clayey subsoil. The must ferments in small steel vats at a controlled temperature, macerating for 15 days; the subsequent malolactic fermentation takes place instead in oak barrels. Finally, the refinement lasts between 18 and 20 months and is carried out both in large wooden barrels and in barriques.

The Chianti Classico Riserva presents itself to the eye with a concentrated ruby red color, barely penetrating to the eye. Elegant and delicate the trace of perfumes that is drawn on the nose, where floral scents are mixed with touches of small red fruit and spices. Tasting is of excellent body, muscular and energetic, with an enveloping tannic texture that enhances a taste with excellent persistence even on the finish. A perfect Tuscan red to accompany great meat and game dishes, allowing yourself a truly rewarding pairing.
