Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino

Chianti Classico is the symbolic wine of the entire production of the Dievole winery, which has the role of first ambassador. An identity and territorial cut, where the tannins, ripe and well integrated into the general structure, help to give body and pleasantness to the final sip, making drinking a real enchantment. A label that classically interprets the denomination it belongs to and that, if it is already able to give emotions now, will surprise even more in the future for its complexity and depth.

Dievole Chianti originates from a blend in which, alongside Sangiovese, we also find other vines allowed by the production disciplinary, specifically 6% Canaiolo and 4% Colorino. The vineyards are located at an altitude between 300 and 420 meters above sea level and the subsoil is loamy and clayey, especially rich in limestone and marl. The harvest takes place towards the end of September and the must obtained from the pressing of the grapes ferments in concrete tanks with a capacity of 75 hectoliters at a controlled temperature. The subsequent aging takes place first for 13 months in large oak barrels and then, after bottling, for another three months directly in glass.

Ruby red color. Floral notes of violet dominate the nose; hints of ripe red fruits follow. On the palate it is a full-bodied wine with velvety tannins, with excellent minerality. Balanced and with good persistence.
