FLACCIANELLO DELLA PIEVE 2017

Flaccianello della Pieve is not only the top of the range of the company, but it represents one of the greatest Italian red wines, a selection of the best Sangiovese grapes from the best vineyards of the company, positioned on the highest part of the basin, where the ground is stony and mineral. The first vintage was produced in 1981, in collaboration with the world famous oenologist Franco Bernabei, and from that moment this wine has become a leading product, requested and awarded all over the world. Impenetrable and bright ruby ​​red color, it swirls in the glass with great consistency. The nose has an aromaticity of great expressiveness, intoxicating in the hints of wild fruit, cherry, wet earth, iron and graphite, as opposed to spicy hints of cloves and sweetness of vanilla. When tasted, the austerity is typical but elegant, with dense and velvety tannins and the right mineral returns that lead to a long persistence of sweet spices.
