The "Lux Vitis" Luce della Vite di Marchesi de' Frescobaldi is a red wine produced in the Montalcino Estate from Cabernet Sauvignon, with a small addition of Sangiovese. It is a structured, rich and complex wine, with a mature and Mediterranean face, with an important body and a remarkable gustative persistence, which makes it suitable with roast red meat or game.

The "Lux Vitis" Luce della Vite wine is a Supertuscan with an international profile. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese vines are grown on the Castelgiocondo estate, which is located on the south-west side of Montalcino at an altitude of about 300 metres above sea level. The vines were planted in 2004 on soils characterised by the prevalent presence of sand. The sunny climate is particularly mild and ventilated, perfect for bringing ripe grapes with rich and intense aromas. Harvesting takes place towards the end of September and fermentation takes place in cement tanks at a temperature of 28-30 °C, with maceration on the skins for about three weeks. The wine matures for 24 months in new French oak barriques and ends its refinement with a few months in bottle before being put on the market.

The "Lux Vitis" of Marchesi de' Frescobaldi is a label that highlights the predisposition of the Montalcino area also for the cultivation of international vines. In particular, Cabernet Sauvignon expresses itself on levels of absolute excellence, giving very pleasant wines. In the glass it has a very intense ruby red colour. The nose recalls aromas of ripe berries, cherries, black cherries, notes of Mediterranean herbs, oriental spices and black pepper. The sip is rich and powerful, with good structure, the tannins are dense and the aromas complex. The finish is fresh and persistent.
