Grattamacco is a wine from a 10-hectare vineyard located 100 meters above sea level with vines with an average age of 20 years. Balanced soils that enjoy a mild Mediterranean climate. After the manual harvest of the grapes, the Sangiovese ferments in open truncated conical wooden vats, while the French grapes follow a fermentation in stainless steel. Aging takes place in French barriques for 18 months, followed by 12 months in bottle
It is an excellent Tuscan wine from the Bolgheri area on the Tuscan coast and has a unique character. Juicy notes of black currant, cedar wood and wild strawberries stand out, mixed with delicate nuances of rosemary and pepper. Wonderfully balanced and harmonious, with a soft and complex silky structure. This historic label is a perfect blend of international Cabernet and Merlot varieties and local Sangiovese.
