Among the first to make the potential of Lugana known outside the regional borders, Dal Cero represent one of the most interesting syntheses of the world of Italian wine today. In fact, Cà dei Frati interprets the history of the Lombard shore of Lake Garda at its best thanks to a path historically dedicated to excellence: mutual respect, family union, defined roles and the bond with its territory represent the real point strength of this beautiful business reality. The Cà dei Frati therefore treasures a ten-year past and looks to the future through a path of research and enhancement of what has been built in over 70 years of wines. It was 1939, in fact, when Felice Dal Cero, second generation winemaker in the province of Verona, moved to Lugana di Sirmione, sensing the productive potential of that land, precisely on those lands, which according to tradition were said to have already been cultivated by the friars. Thirty years later the time becomes ripe for the birth of the Doc, in which Felice's son Pietro takes part, who, thanks to the experience gained, begins to produce the first label of "Lugana Casa dei Frati". When Pietro passed away in 2012, the company passed into the hands of his wife Santa Rosa and his sons Igino, Anna and Gian Franco, who guarded the cultural heritage and production philosophy with the same care and enthusiasm, keeping the link with territory.Among the most important and representative wines of the company, we mention both the Lugana DOC "Brolettino", amazing for its aging potential, representative of the maximum expression of the turbiana, and the "Ronchedone", a very pleasant red that ages 14 months in barrique. The purchase of the "Luxinum" vineyard in Valpolicella represents, finally, another dream realized for this family, that return to the origins that allows them to make use of their decennial experience also on other grapes.
