The Chianti Classico Riserva from Podere Val delle Corti is a classic, elegant and intense version of this great red from the Tuscan tradition. It is a wine that was born in the wonderful hilly area of Radda in Chianti, among the most suitable for the cultivation of Sangiovese. The vinification with long aging in wood allows the wine to soften the tannins, making them softer and more silky and to enrich the typical varietal, floral and fruity profile of Sangiovese, with tertiary evolutions, which make the sip particularly elegant and complex.

The red Chianti Classico Riserva is a pure Sangiovese that sees the light in the heart of the lands of the Chianti Classico area. Podere Val delle Corti is a small company that manages 6 hectares of vineyards with artisan spirit and care. The vines are cultivated with native vines, Sangiovese and Canaiolo, to which the international Merlot has been added, particularly suited to the climate and stony soils of the area. In this area, Sangiovese reaches the absolute heights of its expressive potential and the Chianti Classico Riserva is tangible proof of this. The good temperature ranges, the constant ventilation and the exposure of the vineyards to the east, help to bring fragrant and ripe bunches to ripeness, which have been able to preserve a great freshness.

The Chianti Classico Riserva wine, produced by the Tuscan winery Podere Val delle Corti, is made with grapes from 40-year-old vines, grown at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level, on soils characterized by calcareous marl rich in marl. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with the use of indigenous yeasts and with a maceration on the skins for about 3 weeks in steel tanks and 2 weeks in open tonneau. Before bottling, the wine ages for 24 months in used barrique and tonneau. In the glass it has a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose recalls floral aromas of violet, aromas of ripe cherries, small red berries, spicy sensations, hints of leather and noble woods. On the palate it has a good body, with a fine tannic texture well integrated with a ripe fruit. The sip is long and satisfying, with a persistent and pleasantly fresh finish. A label to try to rediscover the most authentic face of Chianti wines.
