The Morellino di Scansano DOCG of Morisfarms has existed since 1981, just a few years after the birth of the DOC in 1978. It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes and Merlot and Syrah grapes, harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October. The vine grows on sandy soil, and this brings a wine with soft and elegant tannin in the glass. It does not make wood, it is savoury, fresh, fruity and very pleasant.
It has a splendid intense ruby red colour. On the nose it expresses scents of red flesh fruit embellished with spicy notes. On the palate it has good freshness, elegant tannins, good softness and persistence.
