TORRICELLA 2021

The “Torricella” by Barone Ricasoli is a white produced in Tuscany with an international profile and a rich and mature face. It is made with a blend of Chardonnay, aged in wood and Sauvignon Blanc which ages in steel. The noble white of Burgundy brings to the wine its typical fruity, soft, tropical and buttery notes. The queen variety of the Loire, on the other hand, gives its characteristic nuances of aromatic freshness. The result of the assembly of two different and complementary grapes creates a wine with a strong personality, intense and persistent, suitable for pairing with important fish menus or with delicate white meats.

The white "Torricella" is an exception in the range of great wines produced by Barone Ricasoli. The famous Tuscan winery, among the oldest and richest in history of our peninsula, is famous for its red wines and in particular for the Sangiovese produced in the splendid Chianti Classico area. In common with the reds, Torricella has the character of a great wine, a white that seduces with its harmony, aromatic richness and the ability to evolve over time with a good propensity for aging. Although already pleasant when young it is, in fact, a wine that reaches full expressive maturity only after a few years of aging in the cellar. Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are vinified separately, with a cold cryomaceration for a few hours in the absence of oxygen and subsequent fermentation in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. Before final assembly and bottling, the Chardonnay ages for 9 months in wood on the fine lees and the Sauvignon Blanc in stainless steel tanks.

The “Torricella” wine of the Tuscan winery Barone Ricasoli is a white that combines the softness of a great Chardonnay aged in wood, with the freshness of Sauvignon Blanc. This is how this interesting label was born, which stands out for its originality and aromatic complexity. It has a bright light yellow color with bright golden reflections. The nose expresses intense and multifaceted aromas, with notes of ripe citrus fruits, white pulp fruit, tropical hints, buttery, honeyed nuances and hints of vanilla. On the palate it opens wide and rich, with a deep and dense sip of aromas. The finish is harmonious, with a closure on sapid and mineral sensations.
