Saint Lucia HMS Royal Oak Extra Old Rum

The Admiral Rodney Rum line represents the oldest and most complex production of the St. Lucia Distilleries. This rum is named after one of the ships used during the battle of the saints.

The production process foresees, after a long fermentation of the molasses in open tanks with native yeasts, the distillation in column and discontinuous stills.

American oak barrels previously used for Bourbon Whiskey, Sherry or Cognac are used for aging.

Only after the maturation, of 7-12 years, is it blended.

Tasting Notes:
Bright amber in color on the nose, it smells of plums, raisins, toasted oak and tropical spices.

On the palate intense hints of sweet sultanas, tobacco, chocolate and vanilla are enhanced in a complex and persistent finish.
