LA MAISON DU RHUM ILE MAURICE

L'Île Maurice is a rum created from pure cane juice distilled in 2014 in stills (70% column and 30% iron still) at the Chamarel distillery, it was mainly matured in ex-cognac oak barrels before being aged in ex-Oloroso sherry and ex-single malt casks. On the nose we have light notes of hay, citrus fruits, exotic fruits, vanilla, caramel and vegetable hints, while on the palate it is warm and fruity with notes of vanilla, lemon, green grass and spices, on the finish we find notes of vanilla, candied citrus fruits and a slight smoky scent.
