MASSETO 2017 MAGNUM 1,5 L

Obtained from a masterful interpretation of Merlot grapes in purity, coming from three sub-areas of the homonymous Masseto vineyard, namely Masseto Centrale, Masseto Junior and Masseto Alto, favored by the coexistence of a mild-temperate climate and the breezes that blow in the vicinity of the marine expanse. The harvest is carried out with extreme care and attention. Soft pressing of the grapes follows and fermentation in steel tanks at a temperature of 25-28 ° C for 25 days, with maceration in contact with the skins. After the first 12 months of separate aging in cask, the wine rests in the same containers for a further 12 months after blending, for a total of 24 months of elevation.

It reveals itself to the eye of a beautiful ruby ​​red, intense and dark in the glass. The nose offers a refined olfactory bouquet, in which fruity and ripe tones of blueberries, blackberries and wild berries meet, which are combined with a delicate note of vanilla and cocoa, spices and dark chocolate, tobacco and truffle black. The mouth is substantial and rich, of great density, guided by a smooth, smooth and silky tannic quality. The fruits perceived by the nose return reed on the palate, and give a fresh, elegant finish with an interminable persistence.
