Intense and impenetrable ruby red, it smells of dried red rose, sandalwood and cloves, then dark notes of undergrowth, cola and resin, with balsamic hints of eucalyptus. The taste is rich, consistent and robust, with vigorous tannins and a subtle but acute mineral verve that accompanies a powerful but well blended alcohol. Endless finish of red fruit jam.

Excellent with important second courses, game and braised meats, it also goes well with very mature cheeses.
