AMPELEIA ALICANTE NERO 2022

Once widespread in the Upper Maremma, this native variety was uprooted to make room for more intense types, with richer tones and more powerful structures. In 2003, the producers of Ampeleia decided to bring back this grape variety to its homeland and began planting Alicante vines, convinced it was the best choice to represent the Mediterranean Maremma. Their intuition proved correct: today, the wine produced from this grape variety is considered one of their finest creations. In the vineyards of "La Pieve," the Alicante variety found its ideal habitat: clay soils mixed with pebbles and pudding stones provide the wine with a unique delicacy, lightness, and harmonious character.

This wine is a surprise, capable of entertaining due to its intrinsic duality. Although it appears joyful and fresh, it conceals an unparalleled elegance and refinement. It seduces with aromas of strawberry and flowers, before capturing attention with hints of earth, graphite, and spices.
