Sanforte is a rare indigenous variety that has found its optimal habitat in the Masini family's vineyard of over 60 years. This variety has been carefully selected and grafted onto two terrains through mass selection, demonstrating its perfect adaptation to their vineyards and expressing its authenticity to the fullest. During the winemaking process, Sanforte is treated with extreme care and respect for its nature: the grapes are processed in small open vats through manual punching down, ensuring gentle extraction of phenols, flavors, and color. The fermentation process takes place without the addition of oenological additives, selected yeasts, or sulfites. The entirely spontaneous malolactic fermentation occurs in oak barrels of different passages, where the wine matures for about 12-18 months before being bottled and subjected to further refinement. It is a wine that embodies elegance and sophistication, with a bouquet that expresses distinctive notes of black pepper and cherries, supported by harmonious acidity.
