CERETTO BAROLO 2019

The Barolo from the Ceretto winery represents an icon of the winemaking tradition of the Langhe and embodies the style of one of the most renowned and prestigious brands in the region. This wine is the result of an ancient practice which consists in assembling grapes from different vineyards, located in various cru areas of the company estate, each with unique altitude, exposure and soil characteristics that integrate perfectly. Thanks to this choice, a harmonious Barolo is produced every year, characterized by an excellent taste balance and a rich aromatic complexity. The grapes come from a careful selection of the best bunches, harvested in the vineyards located in the municipalities of La Morra, Barolo and Serralunga. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, followed by a long maceration on the skins and a delicate extraction. The refinement involves a year in French oak tonneaux, a year in large oak barrels and finally a long period of rest in the bottle before marketing.

The Barolo Ceretto is the flagship of the winery, representative of the quality of the production and the starting point for discovering the peculiarities of the individual crus. In the glass it presents a ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it offers an elegant bouquet with aromas of small red fruits, raspberries, currants, wild strawberries, morello cherries, floral notes of violets, dried flowers and spicy hints. In the mouth it is intense and structured, with soft tannins and complex and persistent aromas, which lead to a long and pleasantly fresh finish.
