The Bolgheri produced by Tenuta Guado al Tasso is the representation of one of the most historic estates of the Antinori family inherited from the mother of Piero Antinori in the 30's whose Gherardesche roots are 1200 years old or are. The new flowering has brought this area to life on the Maremma coast and laid the foundations for viticulture which has led the wine region to be considered one of the most prestigious wine areas on the Italian and world scene. In the Bolgheri amphitheater the estate boasts a vineyard area of about 320 hectares which enjoys a perfect climate thanks to its proximity to the sea, whose breezes clean the sky allowing the plants to perfect sunshine and to control the summer heat.
"Guado al Tasso" takes its name from a curious circumstance quite frequented at the Guado al Tasso estate; it is easy to see badgers crossing the fords of waterways. All vintages were produced in limited quantities.
Dark ruby red, it is a wine with a wide olfactory impact, with notes of mint, coffee, plum and spices that follow and blend in constant evolution. On the palate the texture of tannins is extraordinarily dense and silky. A deep and long wine of great elegance.
