The Concerto Toscana IGT, produced by the Mazzei family, is a Tuscan wine that comes to life in the town of Castello di Fonterutoli, in the Chianti Classico area in the province of Siena. This wine can be considered one of the precursors of the so-called Super Tuscans of which it became one of the major protagonists.

The first vintage dates back to 1981, at a time of research and innovation in the wine sector, when new forms of breeding and new blends were being experimented using non-native varieties.

The Concerto is produced from vines that are 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon bred in Cordone speronato and Guyot, in a structured soil thanks to the breaking up of alberese and galestro rocks.

Concerto Toscana IGT is a dry red wine that, thanks to the Sangiovese vines from which it is vinified, expresses its qualitative potential, recounting great aromas and elegance. It is a rich and juicy red wine. On the nose it has notes of undergrowth and black fruits. A wine characterised by a high and at the same time fine aftertaste. A perfect wine, thanks to its strong taste, to be combined with dishes rich in spices, stewed game and a wide range of mature cheeses.
