BARBERA D'ALBA "FRANCIA" 2018

"Francia" is a Barbera d’Alba by Giacomo Conterno that comes from a real cru, in which the Barbera grape has the opportunity to grow under optimal conditions, bringing healthy and ripe bunches to the harvest. The nose is dominated by a range of fruity touches, which open to a warm and warm sip, where the alcohol level is felt, despite the fresh imprint that envelops the palate. A prestigious label, which on the table requires equally high-level combinations to make the most of it. This "Francia" is a Barbera d’Alba that comes from a particularly suitable vineyard, located near the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba. Between the rows each work is carried out with rigor, taking care to perform it with precision in the smallest details, from pruning to defoliation. The bunches, collected manually during the harvest, are brought to the premises of the Giacomo Conterno winery, where they are de-stemmed. The grapes obtained are sent to the press and the must is vinified in steel. After 20 months of aging in large barrels, the wine is finally ready to be bottled.

Giacomo Conterno's Barbera d’Alba "Francia" shows a ruby ​​red color upon visual examination. The fruit is announced on the nose with dominant sensations, which slowly, at the end of the olfactory analysis, give way to slightly more mineral hints.
