CLIMATIC TREND
The Sangiovese sprouted during the first week of April and continued to grow regularly. The season continued with a dry and sunny climate, which allowed a homogeneous development. July was very hot and dry with higher than average temperatures. In the first week of August, heavy rains gave relief to the plants allowing the vines to synthesize aromas and tannins; of primary importance for the quality of the wines.

VINIFICATION AND AGING
The Sangiovese grapes were harvested manually in the last week of September, after a first selection in the vineyard at the beginning of the month. Upon arrival in the cellar, they were subjected to further scrupulous checks. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature with frequent pumping over, to obtain a good extraction of the coloring and structure components. A subsequent long aging in wood allowed for excellent stability and an increase in aromatic and structural complexity. The Brunello di Montalcino Fagnani 2015 Riserva is ready for release on the market 6 years after the harvest and only after further refinement in the bottle.

TASTING NOTES

The Riserva di Brunello di Montalcino Fagnani 2015 has an intense and brilliant ruby ​​red color. The nose opens with floral notes of violet and broom. Then enriched by notes of red fruit such as cherry, raspberry and wild strawberries, over time the spicy notes of pepper, cloves and cardamom are revealed that embellish the bouquet and give great elegance to the wine. In the mouth it is harmonious and balanced, with silky tans that flow on the palate without attacking it, giving it great structure.
