The Torrette is the largest historical area of the Valle d'Aosta appellation and gives its name to the wine. It is vinified with a prevalent base of Petit Rouge (indigenous variety) and is traditionally consumed by the Valle d'Aosta throughout the meal. Torrette Superiore wine is the classic mountain red, characterized by a medium-structured body, great fragrance and mineral freshness. It has a ruby red color with youthful purple hues. The nose releases intense aromas of violets, rose petals, ripe red fruit and small dark berries. The sip gives a juicy and still crunchy fruit, subtle tannins and a lively freshness finish.
